Her parents were Pontos〔Hesiod, ''Theogony'', 233.〕 and Gaia.〔Hesiod, ''Theogony'', 233ff 265-69; pseudo-Apollodorus ''Bibliotheke'', 1.2.6〕 Thespius's daughter is also named Eurybia.
